Music
The Department of Music prepares students to become proficient musicians and music educators capable of demonstrating the performance skills and knowledge necessary for sound musicianship. The department offers both the Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in vocal/keyboard or instrumental music for those students seeking a teaching license and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.
The Music Department consists of a highly qualified faculty dedicated to students’ musical and personal development. Class sizes are generally small, allowing for maximum individual attention. In addition to performances by students and faculty, each year the department, along with Magnolia Arts, brings guest artists to campus through its Performing Arts Series.
